Happy Addi

I love this picture
This year was Addison's first year camping at Lake Millerton.  It is a Block family tradition to go for a week every summer...we lasted three days this year.  Lol,  Addi came down with a rash and a minor ear infection the Friday before we left.  So, let's just say that she didn't have the best time at the lake.  She had her happy moments and some sad moments.  She really liked the boat, and she fell asleep as soon as we started really going fast.  She didn't really like the feel of the sand, so she preferred Kris or myself to hold her most of the time.  She loved playing in the bed of Grandpa's truck while we played horse shoes.  She also slept really well.  She took 2 naps everyday and slept through the night.  All in all it was a great trip, but I hope next year that she enjoys it a little more!

We Have Ourselves a Walker

Well she is walking all of the time, but she is well on her way.  She can stand from sitting all by herself, without hold onto anything.  She does about five steps at a time, but more when I put shoes on her.  Our little girl is growing up too fast.  I can hardly wait chasing her around EVERYWHERE...I hope that you can hear the sarcasm in my voice!

The 4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July over at Kris' parents' house.  There were lots of yummy things to eat: chili dogs, nachos, homemade ice cream, cupcakes, and fruit.  Addi had a blast playing in the water and just being close with her Mommy and Daddy.  She loves playing with her big sister and cousins.  She feel asleep DURING all the illegal firework shows that peppered the sky in Norwalk.  She is amazing.  And I can't believe how big she is getting.

This was supposed to be earlier...just part of the decorations.
Thanks to everyone for making this day so special!
What a wonderful day!!!  It was just a perfect celebration of Addi's first year of life.  We had pizza, salads (thanks to Kathy and Kelly), fruit (thanks to Mom), a candy bar (thanks to Kelly), cupcakes, and cake.  Wow!  Addi did really well considering that she is usually very uncomfortable around large crowds.  She scored with some toys and lots of really cute clothes.  It was truly an amazing day.  We are so blessed to have such great friends and family.  A big thanks to everyone who helped make this the most relaxing party that I have ever thrown.  Addison, I hope that you had a wonderful time and I am so blessed to have been able to watch you grow and develop throughout the first year of your life.  We love you!!!
