Visit From Aunt Becky and Uncle Dave

Addi loved meeting her Aunt Becky and Uncle Dave for the first time this Christmas time. We were able to get together a couple times and we LOVED having them around. We hosted a bbq at our house a couple days after Christmas and Kendall and Addi really warmed up to the both of them. We loved having you guys here and we miss you!

Addison's First Christmas Eve at Grandma Joyce's

Addi had a great time at Grandma Joyce's on Christmas Eve. She played with all of her cousins and enjoyed being held by her aunts and uncle. She even got to say hello to the Salem, Oregon families via Skype. It was a great day and I am sure that she cannot wait for next year when she will be able to open her own presents (Kendall enjoyed opening everyone's presents this year).

Christmas at Irvine Regional Park

On Wednesday, Kris' family got together to go and ride the Christmas train at Irvine Regional Park. It was super cold, so Addi and Kendall got all bundled up and off we went! Well, the train ride had a two hour wait time, so we had a great time just walking around and enjoying the sights. Kendall especially loved jumping in the jumper. It was great getting together and enjoying holiday spirit.

Ummmm...Oatmeal

So, a couple of weeks ago we tried to give Addi some rice cereal a couple times and she absolutely hated it. So, this past Saturday we gave her some oatmeal, and we hoped that she would like it. Well...she wasn't too sure at first, and after a few bites...she loved it! Now, I can't feed her fast enough. After Christmas, we are going to introduce some veggies into the mix. Hopefully, she will like those, too.

Doctor's Visit

Addi had to go to the doctor's on Monday because of the patch of eczema on her cheek. It had gotten really red and crusty. We are going to try cortizone cream for awhile and if that doesn't work, we will move on to a prescription cream. Fingers crossed that it will just get better! She is such a champ and just as smilely as ever.

Decorating the Tree

This Friday, we packed everyone up and headed to Lowe's to get our Christmas tree. Kris and I were really excited to share this special tradition with our little girls....and our little girls couldn't have cared less! Oh well, there is always next year! We decided to keep it wrapped up and not see what it looked like until we got home. And we lucked out because it is the absolutely perfect tree. Addi wasn't too involved this Christmas, but she really enjoys looking at the pretty lights on the tree. I can wait until next year, when she can help us decorate it. She is such a happy baby and I love her "little" ears.

Addison is Five Months!

I cannot believe that Addison is five months already. It is crazy how fast this year is flying by. Addi is continuing to grow at lightning speed...she now is bigger than all of her friends ( and all of them are older!) What can I say?! She is a healthy and happy baby.

She is sleeping through the night again. She goes to bed around 9pm and wakes up around 6am. She has a 6 oz bottle and then she falls back asleep for another 3 hours. She is a great sleeper! She is starting to be more mobile, too...oh no! We put her on a blanket on the floor and when we turn around she is already off of it. I don't know really how she does it, but I have a bad feeling that she will be crawling soon.

She loves looking at the dogs, and Jasper LOVES to sneak up on her and give her kisses. I think that it is gross, but she doesn't seem to mind it too much. She is starting to drool a whole bunch, but I am not going to jump the gun and say, "she is teething"...remember that Kendall didn't get a single tooth until she was 13 months old!

I have been fighting with a small patch of eczema on Addi's left cheek. I have tried numerous lotions, but nothing seems to work. I'm not giving up, though! It doesn't seem to bother her...thank goodness.

I can't wait to spend the holidays with our new little girl and share all of our traditions with her.
