Just Hanging Out and Sleeping A LOT!

It has been pretty mellow around here so far. Addi pretty much sleeps all the time, and when she isn't sleeping...she is eating. I know that this won't last for long, so I am enjoying the calm before the storm!

Settling In...

What can I say... Addison is awesome. She is such a good baby and a perfect addition to our family. We gave her her first sponge bath the other night...she wasn't happy to begin with, but after... there was this peaceful calm about her. I just had to grab my camera and capture the moment. I can't wait for her umbilical cord comes off and we can give her a real bath.

Coming Home

We got to come home a day early from the hospital and we were greeted with a "Heart Attack" welcoming Addison home. Thank you Mom and Mandy...you guys are the greatest.

Welcome to the World, Addison Leigh

World...say hello to Miss Addison Leigh Block!!! Addi was born on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 12:29pm. She weighed 8 pounds and 4 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long.
Kris and I arrived at the hospital at 10 pm and got all checked in and anxiously awaited the arrival of our little girl. It was pretty surreal waking up in the morning, showering, and getting ready knowing that we were going to meet our little girl in only a few hours. The surgery went well, but she was a big baby and they had a hard time getting her out of my belly. Our doctor, Dr. Chu, just kept saying, "She's a big baby!" and "She's got a big head!" They got her out and she was screaming immediately. I hope that that isn't a sign of things to come. lol The first night was a little rough, Addi didn't sleep a whole lot, but ever since that night, she has been a complete angel. She is a great eater and a great sleeper. We are so excited for her to be here. It is amazing how much we love her already.
